Just yesterday, I was with an entrepreneur (with salt ‘n’ pepper hair) who was sharing the AI (you cannot miss it) applications , making the data speak better.
Being in the venture capital/capital markets world, there is never a dull moment. The ideas which are shared, the optimism with which it comes in, the capital which is sought – there is a method in the madness.
One thing which is sorely missing, sharing of data & information by the investee entity. A pure commentary about business & its growth is painted and shared. There needs to be a standardized method of dissemination of information in this space. And this is where the applications of AI can come in.
Today, data in the form of MIS is sought & then discussed. Now with AI, the accounting package by itself can be sought & the same be uploaded into the AI application. So, now instead of MIS being shared in the 1st fortnight of the following month, we can look at uploaded data & have all the information in the desired manner, without waiting for the MIS from the investee company.
Now, the promoters are now free to do what they are supposed to do – consolidate & grow.
The pangs of time being spent on MIS – will be a thing of the past and the efficiency should go north.
Well, that’s the outlook & outcome expected!

Information sharing & decision making should be more efficient & faster!
Enterprises which are in their growth phase & are serious about their business, should ensure that the data is in place. The recording of transactions are also not neglected.
With AI in place, the diligence should be faster.
Over the years, the governance or lack of it has been the monkey on the back for the VC world .
This asset class over the years has been gaining traction & with this seamless information flow, the investor list can grow & a wider pool of prospective investors can be in play for the entrepreneurs seeking capital.
So, to all the entrepreneurs out there, the speed of capital for your growth & making the universe a better place can get faster – if you can also have the data(s) flow in place .
